Looking at the news and the aerial pictures from the news choppers, you can clearly see this is the correct area of train collision. The long building next to the tracks is the key landmark.

Note the double perimeter security fence with a clearly defined no-mans-land in between each fence. This is a dead giveaway that something very special resides inside the perimeter. It can be seen again around the Air Force 1 hanger at Andrews AFB as well as locations within Ft. Meade and other military facilities.

The park may be open to the public but the parking is not. After 9/11, there was a parking land grab by the Federal Government under the auspices of national security. Now the entrances are barricaded and guarded.

I am from Washington, DC and have watched this buildings good times, bad times and its resurrection over the years. I now live here and I love it. A massive, culturally diverse, apartment community. Has it's challenges but what community doesn't.

Old Headquarters is in nondescript office building in the vicinity of chinatown, you'd never know it was there just walking by. This is much more ostentatious, but looks very nice from the air.
