  • President Lincoln's Cottage at the Soldiers' Home (Anderson Cottage), cisco1 wrote 11 months ago:
Ironically Congressman Abraham Lincoln, in 1848, presented theses words. "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."

Mapping as many places on the NRHP as possible is my long-term WM project. I'm only just beginning to scratch the surface, as my method is perhaps more thorough than is practical, but it's turned into a passion of mine. Along the way, I've encountered some other Wikimapians doing good work in this area as well. They include acronson, jprg1966, StJohnsbury, Charliee_Foxtro, and many others I'm sure I'll encounter when I get to more states.
