According to the owner, Pap & Petey's should open the week of December 3, 2007. They should get their liquor license without a problem today, and could open as early as November 29, 2007. At the latest, he said they should open by the week of December 10, 2007.

I've only tried their curried goat, vegetarian platter, and plantains, but all were absolutely superb. I had never tried authentic Caribbean cuisine before, but I am now hooked.

Sova has instantly become one of my favorite spots in all of DC, not just the Atlas District. Premium French press coffee, bagels, and free wi-fi. Plus, if you ask the owner to play a different genre of music, he'll usually dial up a different channel on the satellite radio.
