Alittle pricey and the menu's a little limited, but still pretty nice. The view alone is worth it. My wife and I went on one of our first dates here when we were just starting to date. Ahh...I remember those days...

Probably the best neighborhood bar I've ever been to. Great beer, great atmosphere, great people. A bit of a European atmosphere, but not too much. The food's good enough, but nothing crazy. Just a great place to hang out with friends, and thanks to Komie, you'll actually be able to hear eachother.

Love this place. I spent way too much time and money here, but it was great. I do remember when the Commissioner's Trophy made an appearance here. Pretty cool.

Their wings are hit or miss. When they're good, they're great - some of the best around. When they're bad, usually because they're undercooked, they're real bad.

In the dark days of the 1990s crack epidemic, Lincoln Park marked the unofficial end of "safe NE DC" beyond which you really didn't want to venture day or night.

  • Bolling AFB Officers Club, Guest (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
Bolling Officers' Club has maintained high standards regarding their facility and food. The staff has been the best team of workers I have witnessed in years. Starting with the cashiers who is the very first person I see each time I come to visit. She is always pleasant, calm and very professional. She really sets a tone of a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses are excellent! They have good memories and knows how and what I drink and always at the right temperature. The floors, tables, chairs are are always clean even after a child has been eating at the table. They all seem to have great pride in their work areas. If I had to rate the club, they would receive a perfect 10 with 10 being the highest you can receive. Let me not forget the Chefs. I use to say the only other club that could compete with Bolling was Ft Myers, which use to be my favorite spot for lunch. Note, I said use to be. I like varity, good tasting and love good looking food. I'm always amazed with some of the changes of the set-up and that is always so tastefully done. Bolling is the only place I can say "buttered greens are good" I could never convence my mother of that since she is a southern cook from North Carolina. I consider myself a good cook and and I really appreciated the cook sharing with me some of her recipes. Management continues to be a driving force of well oiled machine. I have come through the admin office and was always greeted with a smile but most importantly, I was always made to feel I was important and no matter what the problem was, they made me feel like it's a temporary thing. Your housekeeping staff is just great. In all my years that I have been coming to the club, I never seen it to be dirty in any way. The ladies rooms are always clean and well stocked. I hope I didn't leave anyone out and if I did, just remember you're one of the unsung that is doing a great job that makes Bolling a great place to eat!!! :D Thanks Guys Olivia Hunter NDW Regional Community Service Program 202-433-6854

Prior to its diplomatic role, this structure was once the palatial mansion of Charles Mason Remey, a noted architect, who designed the house. His wife committed suicide in the upstairs bedroom in 1933 by shooting herself in the head with a 45 caliber Colt pistol--twice.
  • DC "Pentagram", Observer (guest) wrote 14 years ago:
Ugh, Jame357...it doesn't have to be a perfect pentagram...we all know that when some street plans are laid out, they never form to perfection, as obvious here. The intent of making one in the spirit of the freemasons in the street design of DC is absolutely undeniable!

Don't let Jefferson know that you only came to seek his advice because the Lincoln memorial was too crowded. He has been known to get irritated.
